Volunteering your time and support to help others can
be very rewarding and enjoyable.
Martindale recognises the important role volunteers
play in the care of our residents. Owing to the greater demands being
placed on our employees, volunteers fill a valuable role in providing an
extra dimension to the lives of residents.
Volunteers provide care in a wide range of areas
including social interaction, newspaper reading, letter writing,
friendship, crafts, transportation, personal contact, communication and
spiritual support.
Martindale has a wonderful group of
volunteers who attend the nursing home and do a great deal to enhance
the resident's comfort and accompany them on outings. For this we are
most grateful.
All relatives and friends are welcome to
offer any assistance they can provide to help us care and make the
residents stay with us a happy and contented time.
How do I become a volunteer?
It does not matter how much time you are able to
offer, we appreciate even an hour or two a week.
If you would like to kindly assist us by becoming a
volunteer, phone us on (08) 8522 1355.
We will discuss volunteering with you and send you an
information package.
Alternatively, Email us at
marcia@martindalecare.com.au with the type of volunteering you are
interested in, and we will be in contact with you in the near future.
